The truth of the matter is, police make mistakes. As many circumstances prove, the results of any court matter are not predetermined.
Being acquitted of a crime, any crime, is a big deal. The ability of a defendant using legal aid to defend themselves is paramount to a sound legal system.
From time to time, legal charges will reveal more about the character of the person charged than those doing the charging.
With that said, extortion is a serious matter. Staring at the headlights of the justice system while managing threatening calls against my life demanding a cash payment to drop the matter was intimidating but not impossible.
What was excruciating was the wait for courtroom evidence reveal to submit records of these calls.
It's been almost a decade since I openly talked about this while slander and libel went on all around me due to a matter that had to wind its way through the courts for me to be proven innocent. Now I hope to talk about it more.
